Organic inks can be made from just about anything that occurs in the natural world. Just because you take that organic item & follow an ink making recipe doesn’t mean that your ink will produce any colour at all. I’ve discovered this the hard way.

Organic ink making using botanicals is a fairly new field in Australia and there has been a lot of trial and error for me over the years with this process. However the importance of artists making a contribution to the future of the planet cannot be underestimated.

Many artists love experimenting & it’s this experimentation that is so important to our future endeavours as creatives. Who wouldn’t want to be sure that they’re using products that aren’t toxic to their bodies & in particular to the brain & respiratory system.
